Summer in Kelowna
Edited 16 October 17
It's a little late adding this video.
On July 8th a condo development under construction burned to the ground. Apparently a roofer was working there by himself on a Saturday and somehow started a fire. The video is from the NEST can I have in the kitchen window pointing at the lake and downtown. About 10 hours is compressed into a couple minutes.

Summer is almost over and below is a video (two merged together actually) showing what it's like here in mid September.
The first part of the video is a hilltop above where we live. It's a pretty strenuous hike getting up there and that's why I'm puffing a bit. I got my leg fixed last week and now I just need a lung transplant (kidding!).
The second part of the video is taken from our back yard.
Here's another one - we did a couple short hikes yesterday - still testing out this new leg. Seems to work pretty good.
To see some photos of these hikes click here.
So this is our second full summer here and today is the first day of summer. June 21st.
Here's a wee video showing what it's been like here since we got back in April.
Actually this was a good day - most days here are as shitty as Calgary was. In reality Kelowna is just like Calgary with the bad traffic and bad drivers (except here most of 'em are a lot older) but without anything to do on a shitty, windy, rainy day like go to the South Centre or Chinook malls.
The movie: It's an experimental thing I did with my GoPro camera - one shot every 60 seconds. So what you see is about 10 hours of the day.

There are a lot of fires burning in BC this summer. We're high up on a hill that got burnt off in the big fire of 2003 so we have no worry of the fires but the smoke is something else.
This was a couple days ago - Monday morning.
Later in the day.
It makes for some different kinds of sunsets.
