Toto
This Monday we drove into Vancouver for a concert for a great little band called Toto.
We've both been big fans for a long time so when I saw on Sunday that they were playing a the Centre for Performing Arts in Vancouver I went to StubHub.com and was able to get the best seats in the house: front row and dead centre.
We got to Vancouver about 3:30 PM and the room wasn't ready so we walked over to where the concert would be held. It's the Centre for Performing Arts allright but its also the Westside Church. It was a bit confusing but we finally figured it out.
The walk made us thirsty so...
The band travels in style...they had two of these. All closed up and with the motor running. I imagine the band was in there with their groupies and drugs and booze...ha! Right! Probably sleeping.
First church I've been in where you could buy booze. We had two red wine and a small popcorn. $23 freaking dollars.
Just about bought one but didn't. Christ, I've got about a thousand tee shirts as it is.

And the mugly crowd before the show. Lots of old timers and young timers at this show, The young gal beside us was probably early 20's and a huge fan because of her dad who was with her.

The hallway leading to our room at the hotel. The Fairmount Vancouver. Felt like we were staying in the hotel in the move "The Shining". An expensive hotel but crummy and crappy. I wouldn't stay here again.
And the bill for a glass of wine and a glass of beer at the hotel after the concert. Almost 30 freaking dollars and almost $4.00 of that is tax. Christ! this is an expensive fucking province.
