So the big news last week was about all the rain we were going to get. California is in a state of drought and it's a serious issue. There has been very little rain or snow fall over the last few years and it's starting to be a real problem. The area we live, in what's known as the Coachella Valley, is in a constant state of drought so they've learned to manage the water they have. Everthing is still green here so I don't know how they do it.
Anyway, it turned out to be a fart in a windstorm, as they say. They got a bit more rain west of here in Palm Springs but we got hardly any at all. All we got was a bunch of wind.
I hope everyone back in Canada will shed a little tear for us having our endless sunshine and warm weather interupted for one day. IT WAS HORRIBLE!
