As I mentioned somewhere else we purchased two discounted activities. The helicopter trip and the snorkel trip. What we had to do to get the discount was to go to a time-share presentation. More on that later.
So we did go snorkelling on this trip (well I did - Terri is a chicken) but it was pretty mediocre snorkelling. If the captain hadn't dumped a bunch of pretzels in the water I doubt we'd have seen any fish. It wasn't the worst snorkelling trip(that would have to be the Zodiac trip - thanks Ryanstein!) it just wasn't that great. I've done better snorkelling right off the beach at some of the places we've stayed.
The boat trip up the Napali Coast was, on the other hand, spectacular. Once again the weather wasn't great, overcast and rainy at times, lots of rough water but that sort of added to the overall effect. It was great. Terri and I had a great seat at the front of the boat on the top deck and we got soaked from all the spray. Great fun.
We saw whales and spinner dolphins, had a decent lunch and a few beer too...duh!
As a result of the weather though we didn't get a lot of photos and vids as I was reluctant to take the camera out in all the rocking and rolling and the spray.
We did get a few though when we stopped and here's one with a beautiful backdrop. Please note that we've now smartened up and brought some warm clothes along.
Some of the cliffs on the Napali Coast are thousands of feet high. Very impressive.
Do we look cold and wet in the pic above..?? Well we were!
We're heading into bad weather.
On the way back the sky cleared up a bit and we got some sun.
One of the few vids I got that shows the weather:
We saw some spinner dolphins too...apparently the more noise you make the better the like it and the more active they will become.

We also saw a lot of whales jumping. Always in the distance though and trying to get a picture or video is just a waste of time so I didn't even bother.
