Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec

So Iles-de-la-Madeleine was another place where all the good excursions were sold out and all that was left was to go for a walk down the beach. So that's what we did and the picture at the top of this page shows where we went...just about to the end.

There's a great big hill close to the harbour and they've put stairs to the top. You get a pretty good view of the town from up there.

They have a nice guide at the top that shows what you are looking at but apart from the words "Discover what surrounds you" the stupid thing is all in french

Anyway...who cares...?

So down the beach we go...

Most of the way there is a paved pathway...really a nice walk.

And these are our friends Gordon and Barbara who suggested that we join them on this cruise.  He'll be 90 years young on his next birthday. Great folks!
