Palm Springs Air Museum

Today we went to the Palm Springs Air Museum.

We'd driven by it on the way to the airport many times in the past and it looked interesting. We decided that if here was ever a shi##y weather day we'd go see it.

Well today was the day. Windy, cool, cloudy...just not a nice day. Now if you just came here from six months of Canadian winter it might not have seemed that bad but since we've been here four months it was a crappy day.

The majority of the museum is dedicated to World War II fighters and bombers although there are some later era (Korea and Vietnam) planes also as well as some really neat models of boats and submarines used in WW2.

There are also lots of old codgers, some of whom were actually in the wars, that will explain this stuff to you.

A very interesting place with lots and lots of displays of weapons, uniforms, all kinds of stuff. Well worth the $15 admission.

Below are just a few of the photos taken.

This jet is a little bit out of place at this museum as it's a Russian MiG fighter.
