Olden

Olden is another one-horse town, a few restaurants, a few hotels, some business - not much else. But some of the most beautiful countryside to date.

Today we are visiting the Birskdal glacier. This is a real glacier left over from the last ice age - at least that's what they said.

Just a bunch of pictures:

This is a shot of Olden taken from our ship balcony in the morning before we board the bus for the glacier.

A lake along the way. There is a glacier, not the one we're visiting, at the end of he lake.

There are so many waterfalls in Norway.

This is a waterfall on the way to the glacier.

Another one.

And the glacier.

A closer shot. It doesn't look like much does it. Apparently global warming is really taking a toll on Norway's glaciers.

I think this guy is following me. He sure looks familiar.

And another waterfall. Or maybe it's the same one as before.

Another lake on the way back to the ship.

A wee video of the falls.
