Nakagusuku
Another very tiny Japanese island but one we've heard of - Okinawa - where vicious fighting took place during World War II.
The island of Okinawa also has a huge US military presence. There are 32 military bases on he island and the take up 25% of the entire island.
There's not much doing here but they have a cave where the bones of early Japanese ancestors were discovered. They reckon the bones are between 16 and 18 thousand years old.
They called him Minatogawa Man and here's what he looked like. Not much different than now.
Now the funny part is if you Google Minatogawa Man and look at the images you will see that he may not have been so pretty.
Do it - click here.
The entrance to the cave has been converted to a restaurant. We did not get the chance to try it out.
After going through the entrance cave we come into a very green area.
Terri standing in front of a huge bamboo growth.
Another cave to explore.
This is the entrance to the cave where they found the bones.
This is the cave where the ancient people lived.

One thing different about Japan and Canada is the amount of vending machines in Japan - they're freakin' everywhere. And they sell everything: soft drinks, cold coffee drinks, cigarettes, there's even beer in some of them.
Another funny thing is the strange cars they have.
Look at this little shit can.
The N Box - catchy name.
Anyway, thats about it for Okinawa and Nakagusuku,
