Helsinki

This was the most disappointing part of the cruise. Somehow we let ourselves be talked into doing an excursion which took up our entire time in port. It was also very expensive - I won't say how expensive but VERY. I'm not sure how we got talked into it but we will be more careful in selecting future excursions when sailing on Seabourn.

And to add insult to injury - it was not avery good excursion.

We left very early - 7:30 AM (which in itself is a bad thing) - on a lengthy bus ride out into the country to visit some little town.

A nice enough little town but I still don't recall the significance of the place.

Then a half hour coffee break - that we didn't participate in. And then another hour "free" time. We had already walked all over this small town while the others were having coffee so we used (at least I did) this free time to have a beer. Freakin' most expensive beer I've ever had.

And then a short boat ride to a place for a mediocre lunch.

After the lunch back on the bus and back to the ship.

If the bus driver wouldn't have gotten lost we might have had some time to explore Helsinki - but HE GOT LOST so we didn't.

As a result this is the only shot we have of Helsinki - taken from our balcony on the ship.
