We get the boat today.
Weather a little better. Not raining but still overcast. Here's a shot of our street at 9:00 AM
And here's part of my supper last night: Gaspacho soup. Never had it with a gob of chevre cheese before. Very good.
I tried to give these guys my gaunch but they left before I got down there.
So we went on the Route Des Grandes Crus today while waiting for the boat.
This is a 60 km road through burgundy wine country. I have never seen so many continous vineyards anywhere. Not in Italy, not in California, nowhere. Just mile after mile of vineyards.
A few pics:
And a couple videos:
This is a shot back in Chalon-Sur-Saone on the way to the boat. The skies have improved and we actually got a bit of sun today but it's still iffy.
Our boat:
The bar. We were the second couple on the boat so it's empty now but won't be for long.
The top of the boat.
Before we get under way some swans swim by our cabin.
Approaching the first lock.
