First thing AM:
A dull day today. It rained quite a bit last night so let's hope the rain is finished.
There is this little pond on the hotel property outside our room. It is inhabited by about a million frogs. I think it's mating season because each night there is a heck of a racket coming out of there.
Here is an audio recording I made last night. Turn up your volume.
After our travels:
So it rained quite a bit and the trip to the Atlantic Ocean was pretty dull and grey. It got better once we got there.
We visited two coastal towns: St. Jean de Luz and Biarritz and although there wasn't much going on at the former the latter was quite busy.
On the way we stopped to get a shot and video of this hillside covered with sheep.
So we got to St. Jean de Luz and had a wonderful lunch
Plus some food that was OK too.
Very colourful boats in the harbour.
A couple shots of the beach at St. Jean de Luz. Pretty deserted today but I'll bet it's packed in a couple weeks.
So we carried on to a town called Biarritz and once again there are bums with their dogs. This time though the town cops aren't fussy about them hanging around on the street with all the fancy people so they put the run on them. Damn cops!
The beach at Biarritz was a lot busier than the previous town. Surfers, models, old codgers, etc. We fit right in.
A few shots of the beach.
And a couple videos.
