Hiking Eisenhower Peak Loop

So today we went, with our friend Bob V., hiking again.

Terri picked out a great hike - the Eisenhower Peak Loop in Palm Desert. It was the first hike where we've had to pay but it was worth it. We had to pay because it is only acessible from within the Living Desert attraction.

The hike was about 6 miles overall and an elevation change of about 800 feet. Not extreme but a pretty good workout. Bob was leading and he likes to go.

A shot of Palm Desert from about half way up.

You see some fantastically expensive homes from up here. The home owners probably don't like their privacy being invaded. Pi$$ on 'em.

Somebody needs a haircut.

This is our friend bob. He's 68 and in good shape. He's a fast walker I'll tell ya. We're taking him up the Bump 'n' Grind next. We'll see how he does there.

A wee critter we saw on the way down. I had a heck of a time finding him in the camera as he blended in so well. He was quite bold too - normally these guys run and hide as soon as they sense that they've been seen - even after Bob pitched a stone at him (Bob's a mean bugger apparently - just kidding) he just sat there and glared at us. I think it was a glare anyway. Gecko's are notorious for not showing their true emotions.

Terri meets a wolf.

The three stooges???
