Belize

COMPLETED

I cannot say exactly why we decided to go to Belize. It might be the stories our friends Barbara and Gordon Russell told us about their stay at The Lodge at Chaa Creek. It might be that it was so freaking cold in California when we got back from Peru, no - that can't be it because we had the trip booked for many months before December. Maybe it was just our experience that told us it was going to be cold in La Quinta in January. Anyway, it doesn't matter - we went to Belize for 15 days in early January.

The weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked. It was overcast when we thought it would be sunny. It rained more than we'd expected. It was warm (mostly) though...we didn't need coats but there were a couple times I was glad I'd brought my wooly hoodie.

I've divided this blog into the five divisions as noted below.  The progress will be noted beside each one as I get some work done on it. It may take a while as we're heading off on another adventure tomorrow.  A 39 day cruise from Cape Town South Africa to Singapore on the Seabourn, Sojourn.
