The Ship
As noted previously this is a crappy ship. The common areas - lounge, restaurant, forward deck are all too small for all the people - and there was only 76 of us.
The rooms were horrible. We had one of the bigger rooms and it was pukey small.
Some people had rooms with an on-going sewer smell - you could smell it walking by their room. Nothing was able to be done about it. I don't know how they put up with it!
This was our room.
The bed turned into a couch in the daytime.
So you could stay in your room and watch a TV about the size of an ant's ass - plus there were no channels.
The bathroom.
Luckily we didn't have any sewage smell problems like others did.
Our room was the largest on the ship and there was hardly enough space to turn around.
The bar where we spent every evening after supper.
The bartender was a young lady named Tara who could mix a great bloody mary.
This would be the scene in the late afternoon. They would serve appetizers at 5:00.
There was a small spot at the back of the ship where you could enjoy some quiet time.
And this would be the scene before EVERY meal. As there was a shortage of seats people would go down to the restaurant before being called and there would be a huge line up. Breakfast and lunch were the worst times - it could take 20 minutes in the line to get a plate of food and then if you were at the end of the line you might have difficulty finding a seat together. Total bullshit!
And this (in the middle) is where you'd get your food. Quite the buffet! What a fucking joke!
And there's always some hillbillies who need to keep their hats on all the time.
Here thay are getting ready to lift the anchor.
The staff would have to eat their meals at the front of the ship or in the bar. I can't imagine what their sleeping arrangements may have been. Well I actually can imagine having been 20 years old not so long ago!
Here's how they drop the anchor.
A small video tour of the ship.
