On the way back to Kelowna the airline schedules didn't work very well so we decided to stay a couple nights in Seattle and catch a pro ball game.
Seattle Mariners versus....can't remember...it doesn't much matter - we just like going to a ball game. And Seattle has one of the nicest stadiums we've been to.
Back at our hotel we're having a drink in the outdoor patio and there is a protest going on against President Donald "grab 'em by the pussy" Trump and the interesting thing is they have a police escort. I guess the Seattle police hate the fucker too!
Here's a wee video of the protest.
In our room there is a huge array of additional shit you can buy. I mean they charge you a small fortune for rooms these days and it's still not enough. What's next...charge you extra for the good toilet paper? The kind your fingers don't go through.
Look at all this crap!
One thing caught my eye...the Mini Intimacy Kit...WTF could that be?
Turn it over and...eeeeehaaaawwwwwww...just what you need for a dirty weekend. And a French tickler too! I never looked to see what they wanted for it.
I imagine if you were coming here for a dirty weekend you'd bring your own French tickler and save a few bucks. And I wonder what the Lover's Mints are for ...do you eat them or insert them somewhere or...???
The first night we're there we make a reservation at the Metropolitan Grill...just because it's near-by, they have steaks and a pretty good rating on Yelp. Didn't even bother to look at the on-line menu. Big mistake!
Just about shit when we got there and saw what they wanted for their meals. Check out the prices below. I had something considerably cheaper - a $60 steak that was probably the cheapest thing I could find and it was no better than a steak at Denny's. Anyway, after the mediocre meals on the garbage scow for the past two weeks it was pretty good. The wine price was through the roof too...probably the most expensive meal we've ever had.
And we have to do the touristy stuff and go up the Space Needle. Not a good thing to do in the summer. Wayyyy too many people. Anyway we did it and don't have to do it again for a long time.
Pretty good views from the top on a clear day.
And a couple low down views. Seattle is a great city. Everyone should visit.
