I bitched quite a bit about the shitty ship but the one part of the trip that was really good was the people we met. All (mostly) good folks.
The first week there were no young kids - the second week there was.
Lots of old-timers.
This was the "polar-plunge" even though we were no where near the pole. I was surprised at how many went though with it.
Here's a wee video.
And there's Mr. Big Pipe - the guy with the humungous camera lens - heaven help you if you were where he wanted to be to get a shot - you might get knocked over the side of the ship.
The first table were six Aussies - they sent one of the gals down ahead of every meal to put some coats on the chairs so they could sit together. You'd think after coming all that way they might want to have a meal with some new folks.
And a favourite spot for scenic viewing - as long as Mr. Big Pipe didn't push you out of the way.
Rod. A good guy.
